A beginner friendly yoga class focusing on stretching to specifically benefit runners, although will be useful for any athlete. Over the 6-week course we will work on stretching out the parts of the body that runners ‘usually’ struggle with as well as focusing on our breath to help the mind find some stillness. We will specifically target releasing tension in the hamstrings and lower back, opening the hips and groin and looking at stretches to relieve stiffness in the quads and calves as well as giving you a general full body stretch. This class can be used as a great cross training exercise or simply for ideas for stretching to incorporate into a cool down.
